Our Story
It started in the winter of 2019.
We had moved from Port Elizabeth to Bloemfontein, and I didn't know how harsh the cold could be. We hadn't covered the more delicate plants in my garden for winter, and they didn't survive. Watching them wither hit me hard—because I was withering too.
That winter, I sank into a deep depression. I felt empty. Disconnected. Lost. And for the first time, I realised: I had never truly looked after myself.
That moment changed everything.
I made the decision to return to nature—to live more intentionally, more simply. I started small: a natural soap in the shower. Feeling the texture on my skin. Breathing in the scent of essential oils. And suddenly, I felt something I hadn't in a long time.
This...is just bliss.
Today, my garden is still my sanctuary. It reminds me daily what care, connection, and nature can bring. JUSTBLiSS is how I share that feeling—with natural products for skin, hair, and home. Made simply. Made honestly. Made for people ready to reconnect with themselves again.

Founded in 2019 in South Africa, JUSTBLiSS began in a garden, with a deep love for plants and a desire to create products that felt honest, nourishing, and safe for everyday use. What started as small-batch formulations for family and friends in 2019 grew into a hemp-powered wellness lifestyle brand when we began selling in 2021—rooted in integrity and simplicity.

All our soap bars are handcrafted in small batches in South Africa, 100% vegan, palm oil-free, and made with premium essential oils and phthalate-free fragrances.
Our Soap Base
Every soap bar starts with our signature blend of premium plant-based oils: coconut oil, sunflower oil, shea butter, castor oil, and hemp seed oil. This nourishing base creates a creamy, moisturising lather that cleanses without stripping your skin.
We then add specific essential oils and natural ingredients to each soap bar based on its purpose—creating unique scent profiles and skin benefits tailored to your needs.
The Cold Process Method: Why Quality Takes Time
Our soaps are made using the traditional cold process method—a time-honoured technique that preserves the natural benefits of every ingredient.
How It Works:
We carefully blend premium plant oils with lye at controlled temperatures, allowing the natural saponification process to occur slowly. Unlike commercial hot-process or melt-and-pour methods that rush production, cold process soap-making protects the integrity of delicate essential oils and maintains the nourishing properties of our base oils.
The Curing Process—Why We Don't Rush:
After pouring, each batch must cure for a minimum of 4-6 weeks. During this time, excess moisture evaporates, the pH balances to a skin-safe level, and the soap hardens into a long-lasting bar.
Why curing matters: Soap that hasn't fully cured is soft, mushy, and dissolves quickly in water—wasting your money and compromising your experience. A properly cured bar is firm, mild on skin, and lasts significantly longer. This patience is what makes our soaps exceptionally gentle, creamy, and luxurious.
We could send soap earlier, but we won't compromise quality. Your skin—and your investment—deserve better.
Production & Delivery Timeline:
- Standard Orders: Ready to ship in 4-5 weeks from order confirmation
- Sample Batches: Also require the full 4-5 week curing period—there are no shortcuts to quality
- Bulk/Custom Orders: Please allow 5-6 weeks for larger quantities
We begin crafting your order immediately, but the curing process cannot be rushed. Plan ahead, and you'll receive soap that's worth the wait.
