THE STORY OF JUSTBLiSS

I didn't start JUSTBLiSS as a business - it began as a season of change.
After moving from Port Elizabeth to Bloemfontein, I entered a winter in my life that felt heavy and unfamiliar. I was lost, without purpose, and for the first time I realised that I had never truly practiced self-care. I poured my energy into everything and everyone else, but there was nothing left for me. That realisation was sobering - and it was spark for a shift.
It started with something small: a soap bar. Each morning, I decided to give myself just a few minutes of mindful time in the shower. That became my space, my ritual, my chance to breathe. it was astonishing how those few moments - simply pausing and allowing myself to be present - shaped the mood of my entire day. I started to feel lighter. Stronger. More myself again.
From there, my hands and heart were drawn back to nature. I began creating simple products, not for a market or a business, but for my own healing. The first was a rooibos tea body butter. It was rich, natural, and honest - and it made my skin feel nourished and alive. But it did more than that. It gave me hope. It showed me that nature could restore not only the skin but also the spirit.
What began as a personal self-care slowly became something more. Friends and family started asking for the same products, and I realised that what was helping me could also help others. The journey of JUSTBLiSS had begun - born from a place of brokenness but rooted in the healing, grounding power of nature.
Today, JUSTBLiSS is more than a beauty brand - it is a natural lifestyle. From skincare, hair care and body care to candles and home rituals, everything we create is handmade, plant-powered, and rooted in simplicity, honesty, and care. We believe wellness is not about perfection - it is about everyday rituals that reconnect you with yourself and with nature.
The truth is, we nourish our bodies with food to feel healthy and strong - so why not feed our skin, hair, and emotions with the same care? That question guides everything we do. Every bar of soap, every jar of body butter, and every candle is created to nurture both body and soul.
What began as a winter of feeling lost has grown into a philosophy: to help people feel good again, naturally. At JUSTBLiSS, we believe that small daily rituals - a mindful shower, a nourishing balm, a candle lit at the end of the day - have the power to transform not just your skin, but your whole way of being.
