Step 1: Prep your beard
1. Wash: Start with a clean beard by using a quality beard wash. This removes dirt and oil, allowing the balm to absorb effectively.
2. Dry: Gently pat your beard dry with a towel, leaving it slightly damp. Applying balm to a damp beard helps seal in moisture and improves absorption.
3. Detangle: Use a comb or beard brush to remove any knots or tangles. This ensures a more even application of the balm.
Step 2: Warm and melt the balm
1. Scoop: Scoop out a pea-sized amount of balm with your fingertip. You may need more for a longer or thicker beard.
2. Melt: Rub the balm vigorously between your palms for about 20 seconds. The heat from your hands will melt the wax and butters, creating a smooth, oily consistency.
Step 3: Apply the balm
1. Massage: Work your fingers deep into your beard, massaging the balm into the skin beneath your facial hair. Focus on the roots first to moisturize the skin and hair follicles.
2. Spread: Using your whole hands, spread the remaining balm through the rest of your beard, working from the roots to the tips.
Step 4: Comb and style
1. Distribute: Use a beard comb or brush to evenly distribute the product throughout your beard. This helps coat every hair and removes any clumps.
2. Shape: Style your beard into your desired shape. The beeswax in the balm provides a light hold to tame flyaways and maintain your look throughout the day.
