Mustard, one of the oldest and most widely used spices is your go-to zest. Mustard baths are a traditional remedy in England - used for the treatment of colds, stress, fatigued and achy muscles, fever and congestion. Mustard has been known to stimulate the sweat glands, opening the pores and helping the body rid itself of toxins. When  this happens, circulation is improved, congestion is relieved and pain is eased. 

In may parts of the world Mustard is well-known for its therapeutic value when used in a bath, helping to increase circulation, oxygenation and the elimination of toxins. The outward application contributes to general well-being by activating the largest organ of elimination in the body: the SKIN and helping to reduce the toxic load stored in tissues throughout the body.

Cleansing and Detoxifying the body: Mustard baths can help to cleanse and detoxify the body be removing toxins and impurities from your pres and opening your pores, allowing the body to expel toxins more easily. This can be beneficial if you suffer from acne, psoriasis, eczema, or other skin conditions. If you regularly suffer from bloating or up0set stomachs, a mustard bath can help to improve your digestion.

Increase Blood Flow: The ingredients in the bath water, particularly the mustard seeds, increase blood flow and encourage lymphatic drainage. This can be beneficial in you suffer from poor circulation or have aches and pains in the joints, as it can help to relieve pain and improve your range of motion.

Reducing Inflammation : The anti-inflammatory properties of mustard baths can be beneficial if you suffer from chronic inflammation, like rheumatoid arthritis.

Boosting Mood: The warmth from the mustard bath can help to release endorphins, which are chemicals in your body that make you feel happier and relaxed.


Add approximately 6T of mix to running warm bathwater. Soak for 15 - 20 minutes, or less if you have sensitive skin. After bathing, shower to rinse off (optional), and rinse out the tub.

Some people find it helpful to dry brush before bathing. If you've never dry brushed before, it involves brushing skin with a dry, exfoliating brush in order to begin stimulating the skin. We do not recommend using these bath salts for bathing babies and small children.
